Whether you're in town or on a hike, all fēnix 5 Plus watches come with navigation functions and an integrated map to guide you on your route. The preloaded colour TopoActive Europe maps provide easy-to-read map data to simplify navigation and tracking your location. For runners and cyclists, the watch also features the popular Trendline route generator, which uses data from millions of athletes via Garmin Connect™ to help you run or cycle wherever you are, as if you were on your favourite playground.
Quality hardware for unparalleled performance
Made from top-of-the-range materials, the fēnix 5 Plus range is available in a variety of finishes, including a stainless steel bezel with PVD coating, accompanied by a bracelet in treated silicone or, for those who want the comfort of a metal that is lighter and 30% stronger than steel, there is the version with a brushed titanium bezel and a brushed titanium bracelet. On both versions, a bright, high-resolution Garmin Chroma Display™ colour display with LED backlighting ensures good readability in any lighting condition, even in direct sunlight. To resist scratches, all fēnix 5X Plus watches feature a curved, ultra-resistant sapphire crystal.
Doing better to go higher
When the terrain becomes steep and climbs are coming up, your fēnix 5X Plus has a dedicated ascent feature, which can be very useful. The ClimbPro widget provides real-time information on current and upcoming climbs. View the ascent gradient, distance and elevation for each ascent segment, a progress marker also displays the elevation you have left to cover. During difficult climbs, the pulse oximeter for acclimatization of the watch provides you with additional information. This sensor uses light to measure the absorption of haemoglobin into your bloodstream so that you can assess how your body's oxygen levels acclimatize to the thin air at higher altitudes.
Enhanced satellite reception
Every fēnix 5 Plus watch has, in addition to GPS and GLONASS compatibility, Galileo satellite reception, to connect even in the most difficult environments. In addition to the map navigation functions, each watch is also equipped with ABC sensors (altimeter, barometer and compass). The built-in altimeter provides altitude data to accurately track activities involving changes in altitude, such as hiking, while the 3-axis electronic compass keeps you on course!
Performance Metrics
All fēnix 5 Plus watches incorporate sophisticated training functions to monitor your fitness and performance. Press Physiological Metrics, Running Dynamics (Stride Analysis) and more to track your training statistics, measure your progress and fine-tune your technique. Training Status automatically evaluates your recent exercise history and performance indicators to tell you if your training is too intense, regular or at its optimal level. The Training Effect Anaerobic metric helps you visualize how your training improves your ability to push your limits. You can also view your training load. Specific pre-loaded activity profiles are available for swimming, running, cycling, hiking, skiing, rowing, stand-up paddle and more. Wrist Heart Rate
Let's continue this momentum with the wrist heart rate monitor Elevate™ which allows you to monitor your heart rate without wearing a textile heart rate belt. In addition to counting your steps and monitoring your sleep, the watch uses your heart rate to provide you with information on calories burned and measure the intensity of your physical activities. It also measures the variability of your heart rate to calculate an effort score that helps you assess the level of activity your body is ready to handle.
The soundtrack to your sport
Do you have a powerful song that motivates you for a tough race or workout? Now with fēnix 5X Plus you can listen to music without your phone, up to 500 songs can be stored on your watch. It's easy to download music and list your favourite songs so you can enjoy them anywhere and anytime with a wirelessly connected Bluetooth headset (sold separately). You can also sync your favourite playlists from the streaming service of your choice5 to your watch to enjoy all the music you love without commercials. No need to jog on your phone - all the music that helps you keep up is on your wrist.

To help you keep pace with your active lifestyle, fēnix 5X Plus features our Garmin Pay contactless payment solution. Check your power data during your workout by downloading our Running Power application from the Connect IQ store to your compatible watch. Developed by Garmin Labs, this application uses metrics such as gait, vertical oscillation, slope and even wind strength to determine the power you apply to the ground while running. Knowing how much power you spend every minute and every mile helps you manage your pace more effectively and avoid tiring yourself out too quickly. Best of all, if you already own a compatible Garmin device, you can check your power level on it for free.
